[0.0s] Previously on Dumbgeons and Dragons. [4.0s] This is not good. [6.0s] We thought this was the last stronghold. What does this mean? [11.0s] Got any magic in you? Bahamut, how you doing here, buddy? [14.0s] In an instant, the spiraling energy, as if drawn from the center of the group, pulls quickly in, and the group is gone. [23.0s] I thought you might not come back, but you're back! [27.0s] And Flint's still out, and she's shaking. [30.0s] They don't let them out from the sounds of it, correct? [32.0s] No. [33.0s] I mean, that was what we were led to believe. [35.0s] Well, they take them out, but only to exterminate or destroy them. [42.0s] We have another party out trying to recover a relic of supposed teleportation. [49.0s] If we have a god who can harness that power, there's no stopping us from being able to move through not only space, but maybe time. [59.0s] If it was in fact Vorunax and Lipsinki that you saw, they will be on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary. [66.0s] Well, they did see us disappear in a giant flash of magic, so... [70.0s] And appear in one. [71.0s] Well, then it might not be long before they are able to find us. [77.0s] Debris is thrown, and people scream as they are struck by heavy stone. [83.0s] It comes back to you in a flash of a memory, back to a greenery-filled cave. [89.0s] With Flint and Nularaaaa at your side, as an adult green dragon emerges from the watery cave and roars before you. [98.0s] Staring through at you is an undead cooth. [103.0s] Welcome to Dumbgeons and Dragons. [108.0s] I'm your dungeon master, Russ More. He-him. Also with me today is Tom Laird. [113.0s] He-him, and I'm playing Telgir, Heavyfoot, a mountain dwarf pAlydin. Who also goes by He-him. [119.0s] And Carla Maxted. [121.0s] She-her. I'm playing Yen Bolnuri, a Kalishtar cleric. Also She-her. [126.0s] And Amy More. [128.0s] Yeah, She-her, and I'm playing Thea Amastasia, a high elf druid. Also She-her. [134.0s] Well, it's lovely to have you all here with me, even though I sprung a dragon on you. [139.0s] Is it, Russ? [140.0s] Is it? Is it? [141.0s] I was like, hey... [142.0s] Do you actually hate us? [143.0s] No, why would I hate you? [145.0s] I love you all. [147.0s] That's why I ask myself all the time, why would Russ hate us? [150.0s] What did we do? [151.0s] We've been friends for so long. [152.0s] Why is he doing this to us? [153.0s] Yeah, I know. [154.0s] Why is there an undead dragon trying to kill us all? [156.0s] It's the darkest timeline. If there wasn't an undead dragon trying to kill you, what are we even doing here? [161.0s] Is everything okay in our marriage? Are you projecting something? [168.0s] Because we can talk about it. You don't need to put it in the game. [171.0s] This episode is just working through Russ's deep-seated issues with each and every one of you. [176.0s] I mean, honestly, I might prefer that to dying by dragon. [180.0s] Again? [181.0s] Again? [183.0s] That's true. This is not Carla's first rodeo with a dragon. [186.0s] I figure, you know, if you can separate yourself from the character, I'll just for a minute put yourself in it. [191.0s] Yenbul hasn't even seen a dragon. [193.0s] It's true. [194.0s] Maybe. I don't know, Yenbul's past. [196.0s] I feel like it's true. She's traveled. [198.0s] She probably has seen one, but... [200.0s] I mean, you see Donnie. [201.0s] I don't know that she's fought one. [202.0s] A dragon. [203.0s] Basically. [205.0s] He's going to get some turns. [207.0s] I can't, yeah. [209.0s] Nope. I'm going to go save the kids. All right. [212.0s] Do you remember in the preamble to the last episode where Russ was like, [216.0s] hey, guys, we might do this differently if we like get into combat the whole time. [223.0s] He's sitting there with a fucking undead dragon in his back pocket. [226.0s] I can't wait to popcorn this thing. [228.0s] When do I drop it? [229.0s] It's got to be good. [230.0s] When do I? No, I knew it was going to come at the end. [233.0s] Of course. That's the hook. [234.0s] Yeah, that's the hook. [235.0s] For the next episode. [236.0s] It kept you coming back for more over here, [238.0s] and where we keep you coming back for more is in our other show over on [241.0s] Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast, [243.0s] where we play just fun goofs and guffaws. [246.0s] Tom tries to make it serious sometimes, but then we're like, [248.0s] yeah, but what about the downtown office and bees? [251.0s] I mean, usually I just roll with whatever shenanigans you guys want to get up to. [254.0s] Yeah, that's true. [255.0s] Yeah, we have a lot of fun. [257.0s] It's mostly derailment, not a lot of railroading. [260.0s] I feel like Tom's just like that best babysitter. [263.0s] You know the one. [264.0s] Yes. [265.0s] The one that lets you do whatever is like really awesome, [269.0s] very forgiving and just really willing to go with it. [272.0s] Yeah, that's why you keep being like, [273.0s] oh, bring that one back. [275.0s] Bring that babysitter back. [276.0s] Bring Tom back. [277.0s] I want to see Tom. [278.0s] No, it's not Tom's time yet. [280.0s] We have to drop an undead dragon on you. [283.0s] Who's that? [284.0s] It's Batman. [285.0s] What? [286.0s] We have to drop an undead dragon on you. [288.0s] Look, don't look at the face. [290.0s] You have to drop an undead dragon on you. [292.0s] Batman have a little bit of a stroke? [294.0s] If you're doing Batman wrong, [295.0s] it's just the top half of the face. [297.0s] Right. [298.0s] All right. [299.0s] I'm Batman. [300.0s] Oh, God. [302.0s] Where I was going with that is you also get an episode, [305.0s] the episode dedicated to you when you're a patron. [307.0s] You get an episode dedicated to you? [309.0s] Yep. [310.0s] All right. [311.0s] Mocha Mocamo. [313.0s] Mocha Mocamo? [314.0s] Oh, wow. [315.0s] That's right. [316.0s] This is your episode, Mocha. [318.0s] I'm loving it. [319.0s] Thank you, Mocha. [320.0s] Very funny. [321.0s] Thank you. [322.0s] Let's hope it's not the one where we die. [323.0s] That's right. [324.0s] You don't want that one dedicated to you. [325.0s] Look, this is episode 98. [326.0s] I can't kill you on 98. [327.0s] I got to kill you on 100. [329.0s] Really? [330.0s] Well, let's make a note of that, guys. [332.0s] We'll forget. [333.0s] I make a lot of notes that I never once look at again. [336.0s] I never make any notes because I caught on [338.0s] that I'll never look at them again. [340.0s] Yeah. [341.0s] Well, that's how we're here. [342.0s] Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. [344.0s] Fuck it. [345.0s] Let's play. [346.0s] You said that by me not taking notes, [348.0s] now we're fighting an undead dragon. [350.0s] Now we're in the darkest timeline. [352.0s] We know it's Slyosin's bad filing skills that got us here. [355.0s] Don't try to put this off on me. [357.0s] That was a downtime thing. [359.0s] This was in episode. [360.0s] It counts more. [362.0s] Okay. [363.0s] Boom. [364.0s] Crash. [365.0s] The sound of my heart. [366.0s] The beat goes on and on and on and on. [369.0s] Boom. [370.0s] Crash. [371.0s] Is Fifi Dobson Canadian? [372.0s] Yeah. [373.0s] Yes. [374.0s] Nice. [375.0s] We did it. [376.0s] A little Canadian music for you. [378.0s] Although. [379.0s] Although. [380.0s] I thought that was a different artist that sang that song. [382.0s] Yeah, I think it is. [383.0s] Oh, is it? [384.0s] Sorry. [385.0s] It's Charlie XCX. [386.0s] Yeah. [387.0s] And I think that person is British. [390.0s] I believe so. [391.0s] Well, we said boom crash. [392.0s] Yeah. [393.0s] I always thought it was boom crash. [394.0s] I've been singing it wrong this whole time. [396.0s] Definite boom clap. [397.0s] Yeah. [398.0s] It's a definite boom clap. [399.0s] So. [400.0s] Definite boom clap. [401.0s] Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. [404.0s] And there's your episode recap. [414.0s] Yeah. [415.0s] That's it. [416.0s] I mean, there was a lot of heartfelt stuff too, but mostly there's a dragon staring [419.0s] down. [420.0s] Leosen is standing beside you. [421.8s] We have to get everybody to the vessel now. [423.4s] Can you hold them long enough that we can get moving? [427.0s] Yeah. [428.0s] Yeah. [429.0s] We got it. [430.0s] Do we leave a note or something for the crew coming back? [431.4s] Do they know where to go? [432.4s] Shit. [433.4s] Yes. [434.4s] We'll leave them a message. [437.0s] It will trigger when they come back and it will tell them where we went. [442.4s] And hopefully they have what we need and can meet us there. [446.2s] Okay. [447.2s] Get out of here. [448.2s] We got this. [449.2s] He follows behind a group who are madly trying to move Flint and Grancis and Bahamut [455.1s] from the next room and get them down the hallway. [458.6s] She is pushing past, you know, doing that, wading through a crowd going in the opposite [465.6s] direction as you to get to the front by a toll gear. [470.6s] And I'm hoping there's more than one exit from these tunnels. [474.8s] I mean, it is the sewers. [476.5s] So you would think so. [478.3s] Everybody appears to be running in the very opposite direction. [481.7s] So more where you are or were, we didn't specify exactly where you were. [486.4s] Kind of alluded to the fact that you might have come up front, but you could still be [489.8s] back with the kids if you want to be. [491.4s] But yeah, there is an exit further to the back that has been unobstructed as of this [497.7s] moment anyways. [498.7s] Yeah, I think that Yen Bull will maybe spend a moment kind of like making sure, [504.6s] you know, putting on tiny backpacks and just making, getting everybody out. [508.2s] Tying some shoes. [509.2s] Cutting the crusts off sandwiches extra fast. [512.3s] Exactly. [513.3s] And then she will go towards the danger, which she doesn't even know what it is yet. [519.2s] Like it's the, what I picture is like the panicked, like single shot, like moving [523.7s] through this extended zone, like from the dragon where Tullgeir and Thier are pushing [529.5s] towards and Leosen running away following him, moving down, seeing all of these people [533.7s] like picking up stretchers with their wounded and carrying them to the back and everybody [539.1s] kind of swarming and funneling down in as we see Yen Bull at the back, who we then follow [544.8s] back towards this dragon. [548.2s] Roll for initiative. [549.2s] Seven. [550.2s] Eighteen. [551.2s] Twenty-seven. [552.2s] Wowzer. [553.2s] Good. [554.2s] Isn't that twenty? [556.2s] Okay. [557.2s] So in initiative, do you guys want Flamikins with you or do you want her to go back [562.6s] to the vessel? [564.6s] Well, she is the captain of the vessel, right? [568.0s] So, yeah, I mean, I'd like to have her because she can do some cool shit, but [573.7s] realistically, she should probably be leading the escape party if she's the only [578.5s] one that can do it. [579.4s] Okay. [580.4s] Boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop. [582.1s] Change of rules. [583.1s] We're going to try what's called Popcorn Initiative. [585.3s] This is we've got like cool music underneath this. [587.6s] All right. Everybody's dancing. [588.4s] Everybody's grooving. It's a great time in Popcorn Initiative. [591.3s] You've hit the start menu and you've gone to the help section. [594.1s] And now Russ is telling you all about this new initiative. [596.2s] That's right. We found it because Michael Howey in one of the discords was like, [599.6s] hey, have you heard about this? [600.6s] I was like, no, but it sounds pretty cool. [602.1s] So we're going to try it. [603.3s] So we roll initiative as per usual. [605.6s] But the highest goes first. [608.0s] That's normal so far. [609.5s] Following me? [610.4s] Still the same. [611.6s] After that, that person gets to pick who goes next. [615.0s] It doesn't matter who rolled best next. [618.1s] So there can be some strategy involved. [620.3s] You can front load and try and get as much damage in as possible, [623.9s] but know that if the group of bad guys grows, [626.6s] that they're going to also get a big deluge of damage down at the bottom. [630.7s] So you can talk in character and try and find out who's got what, you know, [635.5s] set people up for cool things. [637.4s] If you want to set up like, you know, [639.3s] it's just a ramp that you can, you know, [641.0s] build a ramp that somebody can run off of and do something cool. [643.8s] You can set that up now. [645.1s] Look at this Popcorn Initiative thing. [648.1s] If we find a rule that we've messed up because of this, [650.2s] we'll cut back in with one of these cool help menu things. [652.6s] OK, back to the episode. [656.4s] Russ, so it's just the undead dragon. [659.6s] There's nothing else with it. [662.0s] All you see right now is a big cooth head sticking into this. [666.2s] So that's all you see right now. [668.0s] But it's like, yeah, like this massive dragon is like obstructing [671.8s] basically the entire view of what could be beyond it, [675.5s] which you know to be sewer from your recent memories. [678.2s] OK, and it seems like it's focused on us, [682.0s] like it's not looking to go after the people who are running away. [685.1s] Yeah, it's a pretty is a pretty like bottlenecked venue that you're in. [689.6s] So in order to get to anybody else, it would have to get past you. [693.0s] So it is staring you down. [694.8s] All right. Well, that will that will affect what I'm going to do here [698.5s] with my turn, which is I'm going to run forward [704.0s] and attack the fucking dead dragon head. [706.9s] All right. With my battleaxe, here we go. [711.0s] First one is a 22 to hit. [713.6s] OK, 22 hits. [715.8s] Second one will be a 19 to hit 19 also hits. [720.2s] Oh, all right. [720.9s] I was not expecting the 19 to hit to be perfectly honest with you. [725.4s] Oh, that's a max damage. [726.7s] That's 17. [728.5s] Second one was not max damage. [731.0s] So that's a nine to go with that 17. [733.6s] So 26 slashing 26 slashing does that a magical or non magical weapon? [739.7s] Did we decide it is a plus three weapon? [742.2s] So it is magic. [743.6s] Twenty six magical slashing damage. Love it. [747.3s] And I do believe the dragon would respond to that immediately and go next. [751.0s] OK, it's going to use its frightful presence. [756.8s] So each creature of the dragon's choice within [760.1s] 120 feet of the dragon must. [762.4s] So basically all of you and everybody beyond it [765.5s] must succeed on a DC 16 wisdom saving throw or become frightened for one minute. [771.2s] Everyone's got good whiz bonuses. [772.6s] I fucking do. [774.5s] I have to shit the bed real hard to mess this up. [778.5s] Watch me. Yep. [780.6s] There it is. Yep. [782.6s] No, I fucking roll a three. [784.6s] I got an 11 bonus on wisdom, an 11, y'all. [789.0s] I'm going to use a lucky point because [791.9s] I mean, I mean, if you don't use it now, when? [794.5s] Yeah, I can't spend the rest of this turn being frightened from this fucking thing. [799.8s] I'm going to go save the kids. [801.0s] OK, that's that's better. [802.3s] That's better. Twenty eight. [804.6s] Hey, 28. Sorry, Yenbul. [808.4s] Twenty six in tall gear. [811.4s] Twenty one. All right. [812.4s] And that's everybody. [813.3s] So you're all unafraid and you are immune to the dragon's frightful [817.6s] presence for the next 24 hours. [820.4s] Excellent. [821.7s] But it's also going to make three attacks. [825.3s] That sounds more like a dragon. [827.4s] How I picture it is, is its claws are trapped. [829.9s] So it can't actually use its claws. [831.4s] So I'm going to use a [833.7s] a bite until it can like break more stone and get in. [838.4s] So that's going to be a 27 to hit 13 [842.6s] plus six is 19 plus 19 piercing damage. [850.2s] Is that all of us? [851.9s] No, just on tall gear. [854.2s] Perfect. Plus seven poison damage. [858.4s] All right. I'm resistant to poison damage. [860.7s] So I will take. That's a lie. [862.1s] I forgot it's undead. [864.4s] All of that is necrotic. [865.7s] OK, 24 necrotic damage. [868.6s] That's all the dragon can do right now. [870.9s] Oh, also, Russ, I'm amused to be immune to being frightened [874.7s] and amused by it because you think you're pretty scary. [879.9s] With the face of your frightening. [881.9s] Did I not pee my pants? I laugh at you. [883.8s] That's right. OK. [885.1s] Thea is going to cast [888.7s] fairy fire on this bitch. [892.2s] So they're dex safe. [894.7s] 13. No. [897.3s] So any attack role against the affected creature has advantage [902.4s] and it can't be invisible. [904.7s] So Thea puts her hands out and [908.6s] a purple glow emits from it and surrounds the dragon. [914.3s] Yenball, get him. Get him. [916.1s] I'm going to. I'm going to watch me. [920.2s] Watch me. [921.2s] Yenball is going to approach the dragon. [925.2s] I'm picturing it like its feet are in, but like [929.7s] like kind of like pulling like its head is over. [932.0s] Yes. Yeah, OK. [934.3s] I need to touch the dragon to do this. [937.4s] But I'm going to. [938.8s] I'm going to cast inflict wounds at ninth level. [943.6s] All right. So let's see how that goes. [947.5s] Wounds. Is there any save on that one? [949.7s] Or that's a no, it's an attack. [951.9s] It's just a melee attack. [954.6s] Plus nine should be easy math because it's almost like plus 10. [959.6s] So it's 24. 24 will hit. [962.6s] Great. Because I hate you. [965.1s] Wait, you can rule again and maybe get in. [968.1s] Maybe get a nat 20. [969.9s] Oh, yeah, you get advantage because of fairy fire. [972.4s] OK. I mean, you might as well. [974.5s] Maybe you'll get to double up that awesome. [976.8s] I know that was worse. [978.4s] OK, cool. Never mind. [979.6s] But thank you. That was a 16. [982.2s] That is going to be 11 D 10. [987.0s] No way. At ninth level, hey. [989.8s] Burn those spell slots, baby. [991.4s] If you're not going to burn them fighting a dragon, [993.4s] when you're going to burn them. [994.4s] Yeah. Undead dragon. Let's do it. [996.2s] Eighty five. Yeah. [997.7s] When I just saw that pop up on my screen, I was like, oh, my God. [1002.7s] OK. So what what does 85 [1006.9s] inflicting wounds damage look like on a dragon that's already falling apart? [1013.2s] Yeah, that's a good point. [1014.6s] So I touch it as distantly as I can [1019.3s] and sort of close my eyes and concentrate. [1021.9s] And you do see just more deterioration [1026.8s] and just like bits are coming off [1029.9s] because this thing is already not doing great. [1033.6s] So those aforementioned black rotten guts [1037.6s] maybe are probably starting to fall out. [1040.6s] Skin is falling off like he's just getting more skeletal. [1047.2s] Like, that's a that's a huge hit. [1049.4s] And now undead things, they don't feel pain, but [1053.0s] causes this dragon to recoil and like pulls its neck [1057.2s] and head back out and up street level. [1060.7s] And you hear its wings flap and like smack the ground [1064.6s] and it lifts up into the air. [1066.7s] And as you watch it go, you see no. [1069.9s] You hear coming in behind it first. [1074.2s] This like droning humming sound [1079.2s] and then this stench hits you. [1083.3s] As you see this huge, [1087.6s] like as the same size of the dragon before you, like prying its way, [1092.0s] a zombie made of more zombies. [1095.0s] Gross, gross. [1096.5s] So it's like a rat king, but it's a zombie zombie. [1099.8s] Exactly. OK, it's a zombie in the book. [1103.8s] It's called a zombie clot. [1105.6s] That's disgusting. Gross. [1107.8s] That is horrible. [1108.6s] That's a bad word and a bad thing. [1112.0s] But it has entered combat. [1115.5s] Yen Bull, it because it came in kind of at the end, [1119.2s] it's not in the original initiative. [1120.7s] So you could choose to go again first or you can pick something or someone else. [1125.0s] But it has come in like it is right there. [1127.9s] I feel like it would go next. [1129.3s] Like they were like, ha ha. [1131.7s] They like, I mean, I don't want that to happen, [1134.4s] but they're going to go sometime. [1135.7s] And if you've just landed, your dragon's flown off or like lifted up a little. [1142.1s] Seems like a good time. [1143.3s] This thing just propels itself smoothly, [1147.6s] like unnaturally smoothly down this sewer. [1151.3s] And you see like bodies and parts [1154.6s] writhing amongst this this figure that's coming towards you. [1159.4s] And as it gets within 10 feet of you, [1161.8s] Yen Bull, this deathly stench washes over you. [1165.3s] Make a constitution. [1166.6s] Actually, and Tulgear would be that close to because you were in melee as well. [1171.1s] Make a constitution saving throw. [1173.8s] Is this disease by chance? [1175.6s] It's poison. [1176.8s] Oh, well, I'm resistant to that. [1178.9s] I get advantage and I need it. [1182.7s] You say constitution? [1184.7s] Twenty four. [1186.0s] Fourteen. [1188.0s] So you don't take anything. [1189.0s] You're not immune to this effect, [1191.8s] which would be poison damage, but also something else. [1194.8s] So but you're not immune to it. [1196.6s] But it could happen again. [1198.0s] The arm, I guess you could say, that comes close to you recoils [1202.7s] and outshoots this mound of rotted flesh towards you. [1208.3s] Yen Bull, make a strength saving throw. [1212.5s] DC 16, please. [1215.0s] As this detached clump. [1217.7s] Thirteen lands on top of you, [1221.2s] and you're going to take 3D 10 bludgeoning damage [1226.0s] and become entombed. [1229.3s] In dead flesh. [1233.5s] Luckily, I rolled poorly, so that's 12 bludgeoning damage. [1237.4s] But a creature entombed in dead flesh is restrained, [1240.4s] has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the dead flesh [1244.3s] and takes 3D 6 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. [1248.7s] The creature can be freed from the dead flesh [1250.7s] if the dead flesh is destroyed. [1252.0s] It has an AC and hit points. [1253.8s] Yeah, so it's on top of you. [1255.4s] Every Telgear and Thea, you see this dead flesh fly off [1259.2s] and like just engulf around Yen Bull, who's now underneath it. [1263.8s] It's going to choose Kuth to go next. [1266.4s] I thought he flew away. [1267.8s] Yeah, he's still in combat. [1269.6s] You look and you see him. [1270.9s] He lifted himself up in the air [1274.0s] and you feel like the the propulsion of his wings [1277.5s] as he soars past and you hear him land further down [1282.8s] on the street. [1285.0s] And he's going to hit with his tail onto the ground. [1291.6s] Hit the ground, the ground just is. [1293.6s] The ground doesn't have like a base AC of 12. [1295.8s] No, funny. [1298.4s] No, the tail. [1299.4s] Every time I fall on the ground, do I deal damage to the ground? [1302.5s] Yeah, as a matter of fact, you do. [1303.7s] That's why there's so many potholes in Edmonton. [1305.4s] People just fall on the ground. [1308.0s] You hear the tail hit the ground and then with a second whack, [1311.5s] it comes through and debris falls down into the refuge [1316.3s] further down where everybody was trying to flee. [1319.5s] They had made it past this point. [1321.4s] I'm going to choose Yen Bull. [1322.5s] You're going to go next. [1323.4s] OK, so what can I do? I can't do anything. [1325.8s] You're going to take. [1326.2s] Well, first you're going to take three D six necrotic damage. [1329.5s] Just trying to kill you, Carla. [1331.1s] I was going to say, can Yen Bull delay [1332.7s] and I can try to get her out of that tomb of flesh? [1336.2s] Yeah, I haven't had a turn in forever. [1340.6s] We're trying out this popcorn thing, [1341.8s] so you're going to take 14 damage of the take that as a no. [1348.4s] Well, it's at the start of the turn, [1350.1s] so regardless of what you choose to do, [1353.8s] that happens, you can. [1357.3s] You're entombed. [1358.3s] So you're restrained, but if my spell is touch, it's touching me. [1363.2s] Attack rolls against the creature have advantage. [1366.3s] The creatures attack rolls have disadvantage, [1367.9s] so you can use attack rolls. [1369.2s] They have disadvantage. [1370.7s] But if you're using something without an attack, then you can. [1374.5s] It's touching you. Yeah. [1376.3s] OK, but it's touching me. [1378.5s] So you're touching it, which means I'm touching it. [1382.6s] It's stuck in the room with me. Exactly. [1387.1s] OK, then I am going to cast inflict wounds again, [1391.8s] because most of mine are saves. [1393.3s] It's one of my only things that is an attack. [1397.6s] So that is 21. [1401.5s] Twenty one definitely hits. Yep. [1403.2s] Forty five damage. [1405.7s] Yikes. The flesh explodes off of you and out into the room. [1409.2s] It's charred hit. [1411.6s] Yeah, it's gone. You're good. You're free. [1413.4s] I just didn't want to be trapped in gross flesh. [1415.9s] Let's get Thea in the mix. [1417.5s] Thea is going to turn toward this pile of zombie monster. [1423.0s] Put her hands out and you see a silvery beam of pale light [1427.9s] shining down from the sky. [1430.2s] This place is burst open, yes? [1432.3s] No, never mind. I'm just kidding. [1434.2s] I just remembered where I am and what I'm doing. [1438.3s] Fuck you. [1441.2s] And the horse you rode in. [1442.6s] All right, darkest time of night. [1444.0s] Right. The moon. Fuck everything. [1446.4s] Fuck the moon. [1447.3s] Whatever. The moon is stupid. [1450.4s] The purple light of the not moon. [1452.8s] That's right. No, no, no, no, no. [1454.6s] Tendrils shoot off of it in this lovely. [1457.7s] She's still going to put her put her hands out. [1459.5s] But at this point, a hail of rock hard ice [1462.9s] pounds to the ground in a 20 foot radius. [1465.7s] And I make it specifically on this zombie clot. [1469.2s] And they must make a dexterity saving throw. [1472.0s] Fourteen. Not good enough. [1474.6s] So the creature takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage [1478.4s] and 4d6 colds damage. [1483.0s] Out of curiosity, does your spell also make the ground [1486.2s] difficult terrain? Let's see. [1488.0s] Hail stones turn the storms area of effect [1490.7s] into difficult terrain until the end of your next turn. [1494.0s] I'm just going to roll them all at the same time. [1496.0s] Keeping that one. That one's eight. [1497.8s] Twenty seven. [1500.3s] I guess that doesn't do you need the difference between the two? [1503.4s] Is that going to make a really big difference? [1505.2s] No, it's fine. All right. [1506.6s] Twenty seven. And yes, the area is now difficult terrain. [1511.4s] And I shout over at tall gear and I say, careful slippery. [1516.0s] If it's slippery for him, it might be time for us to go. [1520.1s] Dare dare we don't go play with me. [1527.4s] But isn't our way blocked because. [1529.7s] Yeah, you've got a dragon on one side [1531.6s] and a zombie monster on the other. [1534.3s] And the oh, the way is blocking it. [1535.7s] I think we're going to have to kill one of them is caved in from the dragon. [1539.2s] Yeah. So the tail crashed in. [1541.6s] So debris fell in. [1543.0s] You could get through, but there is a dragon right above that hole [1547.2s] who is currently still affected by fairy fire. [1549.4s] And therefore I would have advantage against him. [1551.4s] You betcha. I'm going to go for the dragon. All right. [1554.1s] Baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle? [1565.5s] I was wondering when we were going to get around in this one. [1567.9s] Right, because there are so many songs with the middle in it. [1570.5s] Like, is next time going to be some Jimmy World? [1573.2s] I hope so. Maybe. Maybe. I was thinking about it. [1576.3s] I was like, oh, God, we need to like do something more with this middle [1580.0s] because I'm just running out of like spinning my tires on notes. [1583.2s] So and now Marin Morris and rhymes. [1587.0s] Yeah. Yeah. Well, we did. We we met you in the middle. [1590.2s] We're here. We're here. [1591.6s] We didn't talk about what we were going to talk about prior to. [1595.6s] No, that's just making me losing my mind just a little. [1599.6s] But what we have going on over on Patreon is a special [1603.1s] new and upgrading patrons. [1604.6s] When you sign up for an annual membership, you get two months free. [1608.7s] Two months free. What? [1610.7s] That's one month more than I thought it was. [1612.7s] That's how exactly double the thought that Amy had. [1618.0s] Whatever Amy thought, double it, double that. [1620.6s] Generally speaking, it's probably a safe bet. [1623.5s] When people support us on Patreon, not what do they get, [1626.1s] but how do they help us? Oh, man. [1630.4s] They fill our hearts with glee. [1634.0s] Sorry. I froze for a moment. [1639.1s] I know I'm remembering things. [1641.0s] You're doing great. Back to you, Carly. [1642.4s] Oh, I was just saying they fill our hearts with glee. [1645.8s] So they got me a new microphone. [1648.0s] I got Tom, a new microphone and my old laptop. [1651.7s] Ain't going to last forever. [1652.5s] And honestly, guys, a lot of boring shit. [1654.6s] That's really important, though. [1655.8s] Like sure, hosting and and paying for websites. [1659.6s] Yeah, like all this stuff. [1661.0s] Our art commission. [1662.8s] That's less boring, but yes, that's fine. [1665.0s] But sound effects libraries [1666.8s] that Russ can use to make our shit sound way better. [1669.4s] All of that. [1670.0s] Also, wonderful connection and community over on our Discord. [1673.8s] I mean, that also that's for us and our community. [1677.6s] Absolutely. So there's lots of amazing things [1680.8s] that help not only Dumbgeons and Dragons, [1682.9s] but our other shows, Facing Fate, DM to GM in part [1686.3s] and any other shows we decide to come up with between now and 2022. [1689.8s] Who knows what will happen? [1691.4s] There'll be a business meeting in there somewhere in a second. [1693.9s] We've gone out of hand. [1695.7s] This is totally fine. [1697.1s] Spinoffs every time. [1699.8s] I just only a little bit. [1702.6s] But in the meantime, Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. [1705.4s] You'll be the first to find out before Tom, Amy and Carla. [1708.7s] Probably what new is coming. [1710.8s] Yeah, tracks, even if they've been told that you're [1713.2s] probably the first because they forget. [1715.3s] We would love to have you over there. [1716.9s] And if we not if we we would love to hit one hundred [1720.8s] patrons by the time we hit a hundred episodes. [1723.3s] But we don't we don't have to hold it to us. [1725.1s] That would just be really cool. [1726.4s] But what happens when we do hit one hundred patrons? [1729.1s] Oh, my goodness. [1730.0s] We get to release the Flaming Kins Grants this episode. [1733.9s] Oh, boy. Oh, boy. [1736.0s] Yeah, motherfuckers. [1737.2s] We've been talking about this so goddamn long. [1739.0s] I hope the hype holds up. [1741.7s] Well, you know, it's it's Tom, Carla and I run in that game. [1745.7s] Just running you into the ground into the abyss ground. [1750.4s] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [1751.8s] So, you know, help us get there. [1753.8s] We really want the world to experience that. [1756.1s] Yeah. How many things can they throw at us? [1758.0s] But also make him talk to himself because the NPCs go silent. [1762.5s] Well, I mean, that's that's most. [1764.6s] You put yourself in that fire. [1765.9s] I'm just I did. I did. [1767.4s] Hey, it was one of those, hey, what ifs? [1769.2s] And it happened. [1770.3s] But now we want to release it to you because that would be super awesome. [1773.6s] Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. [1775.6s] Love you. Bye. [1777.3s] What was that? [1779.2s] Baby, it's our new audio signature. [1783.5s] I thought now there's the bloopers. [1785.6s] The dumb dragon's production. [1788.9s] I mean, it's just like that kid from from the middle. [1793.3s] Yeah. The one who whispers things. [1795.6s] How thematic. That's right. [1798.1s] Bringing it all together. [1799.2s] OK, bye, everybody. Bye. [1805.7s] Do this. Is he within reach? [1807.6s] Yeah. For fun's sake, we'll say he's in reach. [1810.8s] I love fun. Yeah. [1813.5s] All right. First attack is not great. [1817.6s] So all advantage on that bad boy. [1819.5s] There we go. That's better. [1820.5s] Twenty eight. Yes, sir. [1823.4s] Second attack is pretty fucking good. [1827.6s] Second attack was a 31. [1829.9s] Hey, yes. OK, here we go. [1834.3s] Time to hit that tail a few times. [1836.2s] Fifteen slashing damage and 17. [1840.9s] So 32 all said and done. [1843.6s] Got ahead of myself was going to say 27. [1845.5s] I was like, no, it was a 10. [1847.0s] It was a 10 plus seven, not a 20 plus seven. [1850.0s] OK, it's going to take a legendary action [1854.6s] and attack you with its tail. [1858.2s] It's a 26 to hit. Oh, yeah. [1862.2s] Fifteen bludgeoning. [1863.4s] OK, well, after I guess it's back to me again. [1869.9s] You you would have been last in order. [1872.7s] It took a legendary action, which is outside of that. [1875.7s] But you you could choose you again or you can call to somebody else. [1879.4s] All right. I'm going to choose me again. [1881.4s] But then I'm going to tee up Thea to take two actions next. [1886.2s] And I'll do it. [1887.4s] I will just keep hacking away at this undead dragon. [1890.8s] OK, 26. [1893.0s] But I'll roll again in case I crit. [1894.6s] New second one is 21. [1898.8s] So 26 and 21. [1900.6s] Both of those ahead. [1901.2s] And I'm going to hit it with branding smite [1905.8s] at a fifth level. [1909.0s] OK, so next time I had a creature with weapon [1912.1s] attack before this spell ends, the weapon glimpsed with astral radiance [1915.6s] as I strike. [1919.2s] Attack deals an extra. [1921.2s] Let's see here. [1922.0s] It'll be five d six because I'm casting at fifth level. [1926.2s] OK, and that's radiant damage to it. [1929.0s] So here goes damage. [1931.5s] And I'll get all the d six as I can to hopefully do it in one roll. [1936.2s] And I'm assuming it will only hit on one of the attacks that I have. [1940.3s] I think so. I think it's a triggered on a single attack. [1942.8s] OK, normal damage was a 14 on the hit [1949.8s] and then radiant damage wise, 23 radiant damage. [1954.4s] And then on the second hit, 16 damage. [1958.9s] Sweet. All right. [1960.6s] And I throw like the two finger salute up for Thea to be like. [1966.2s] Two times, two times, two times. [1969.3s] A couple of things happen during during these attacks. [1972.0s] So every time you're. [1975.2s] Well, I mean, the damage you're dealing into this dragon [1978.2s] is causing huge chunks of flesh to fall off, like ooze [1982.8s] pouring out beneath you, creating difficult terrain beneath your feet. [1986.9s] Perfect. [1987.9s] Another thing that you notice [1991.7s] and more probably more specifically, you told here is every time a spell is [1996.4s] cast, like this wisp of white aura [2001.8s] is drawn towards you and passed towards the spellcaster. [2006.5s] I mean, I know it's not a thing to like be using magic willy nilly, [2010.0s] but like we got a fucking problem. [2011.6s] I get it. I'm just telling you what you see. [2014.3s] Yeah, I can't be scimitaring an undead dragon. [2017.7s] Yeah, not going to cut it with my one. [2019.7s] Literally, it's just not going to cut it. [2022.2s] Yeah, it's just not. Yeah. [2024.8s] We cut to the main group who's running away. [2028.4s] We cut to Leosan and we see [2031.2s] Bahamut, who has this white aura about him. [2035.2s] We see Grancis and Flint and we focus more on Flint [2040.1s] and we hear fast footsteps [2043.6s] are racing through a very busy street. [2046.6s] The sound of heavy armor accompanies them. [2051.6s] And we hear Flint scream out Drenkor. [2055.1s] I know it's you. I will catch you. [2057.8s] No, you can't catch me. [2058.8s] You still wear all that hot, hot armor. [2060.5s] OK, bye. [2061.8s] And he takes a rip down a corner just as you are trying to catch up to him. [2065.7s] You turn and you see him [2067.9s] just as he connects with Leon and Glory Gems arm [2071.7s] and his clothesline, like spun around this small for [2076.8s] dwarfs are normally stout, very hefty individuals. [2081.8s] Timus Drenkor is not that he's more halfling built [2086.9s] still a dwarf, long shaggy beard that gets wrapped around [2090.5s] further around Leon and Glory Gems arm and is like [2094.5s] almost pulled back and then thrown to the ground. [2099.1s] So you're getting slow there, Firebeard. [2102.8s] OK, first off, the the captain of the city guard uniform here [2108.8s] doesn't exactly make for easy, breezy running times, [2112.1s] but I got to say, full credit, I was a hell of a clothesline. [2115.4s] It helps when he's looking behind him, not to see the arm come out. [2120.2s] Right. The best part is, is that, yeah, he was looking back at me [2124.1s] and he turned back just as that arm came out. [2128.5s] So I bet you can see the whites of his eyes pretty good [2131.4s] when he was surprised by that one. [2132.6s] You know what, let's check the replay and we hear like a quick rewind [2136.1s] sound fire up and it's just right before Drenkor hits Leonan's arm. [2141.8s] You see his eyes just slowly because it's now in slow motion. [2146.0s] We've gone bullet time look and the panic sets in as this armored [2150.9s] behemoth of a forearm jumped is shoved out in front of him. [2156.1s] His jaw like crunches in and the skin pushes back. [2160.7s] And the beard, which had been like blowing in the wind, [2163.9s] is now forward and wrapping around as he's spinning around this arm. [2169.6s] And it's going back and forth and back and forth [2172.0s] right before he slams into the ground. [2175.6s] So you want me to take him back to the to the precinct, or you? [2178.9s] We can go together. Sure. [2180.4s] It'd be a nice chance to have a little chat as we so we drag him off for [2184.9s] yet another stay in the old hotel. [2187.3s] Leonan kind of leans down and Timus is he's groaning. [2192.0s] Oh, there's got to be brutality there somewhere, [2196.4s] but we're not going to touch that because that seems a little too on the nose. [2201.3s] Handcuffs him and picks him up and brushes him off and says, [2204.5s] you're going to be all right. [2205.4s] Yeah, we'll get you. We'll get you fixed up. [2207.0s] So how's Captain Life treating you as you begin to walk off [2209.6s] towards the precinct? [2211.5s] You know, it's a lot more work than I thought it would be. [2214.2s] But I got to say, pretty rewarding in the long run. [2217.8s] Yeah, yeah. [2219.2s] I mean, while you saw the city guard before I rose up to be captain, [2222.4s] it was a bit of shame. [2224.7s] Yeah, it was it was in shambles. [2226.4s] To be perfectly honest with you. [2227.8s] Well, you're doing a good job. [2229.0s] I appreciate the [2231.4s] not that there was any preferential treatment. [2233.3s] I appreciate the moving through the ranks on on your old pal [2236.7s] glory gem side, too, you know. [2239.3s] Oh, I mean, you earned it, but [2242.6s] there's nothing fishy. [2244.1s] You beat everybody out. [2245.9s] Come up and be lieutenant. [2247.1s] Yeah, I beat everybody out, including me. [2249.9s] I don't remember you applying time is you know what I'm talking about. [2253.0s] Look, my teeth are never going to be the same. [2255.2s] Oh, you'll be all right. [2257.3s] Kind of gives him a shove forward as you move up the steps [2261.1s] into the precinct. [2263.9s] Well, I'll fill out the paperwork here if you want to take them down. [2267.1s] I know it's been a while since you've been down there. [2269.0s] It's two lefts and a right. [2271.1s] I mean, it hasn't been that long. [2273.6s] I got it. [2274.2s] Two lefts and a right, of course. [2276.0s] You take drink hard down the steps, follow back down, [2279.3s] leading towards the cells of this precinct as as glory. [2282.1s] Jim moves over to the main desk and and books them. [2285.0s] All right, Timus, what do you want cell three, cell four, [2288.1s] your favorite and cell five? [2289.5s] What what what what what what what what you feel into? [2292.8s] Well, I mean, the the the air in five is very nice. [2297.0s] Like there's this little draft that comes down from from outside the mountain. [2301.4s] And it makes you feel like you're you're outside, [2304.9s] living the free, the free breeze, living on the free breeze. [2310.3s] I mean, yeah, that's if that's what you want. [2313.4s] I'm a pretty I'm a pretty easygoing guy. [2315.7s] I'll hook you up with number five. [2317.0s] Oh, I won't forget this. [2319.2s] I won't forget this fire beard. [2320.8s] I mean, I think you probably will. [2322.3s] That's OK. Yeah. [2323.3s] Well, until the next time, I won't forget this. [2326.1s] You you treat me right. [2327.6s] Not like that glory, Jim. [2329.1s] He's all hands. [2330.2s] Well, I mean, in your defense, you were looking the wrong way. [2333.6s] You could have seen him coming if you had your if if you had your head [2337.0s] swiveled around. Well, I guess I got to get my head on a swivel. [2346.2s] You enter the jail cell area, door swings open, [2349.7s] big heavy door swings open. [2351.5s] There are eight cells in here [2353.8s] and you begin moving towards cell five. [2356.3s] And out of the corner of your eye, you see in cell three [2360.3s] what looks like a dragonborn [2363.4s] seated on a stump in the middle of this lush rainforest. [2372.7s] You look to it because it's something that shouldn't be there. [2376.7s] And as you look, it's gone. [2378.5s] There there is a dragonborn there. [2380.6s] Looks like he's had a few too many. [2382.6s] And he's kind of just leaned up against the bars. [2385.7s] Hey, hey, Thomas, did you see that? [2388.8s] I see what in cell three that drunkard? [2393.1s] Yeah, I saw him last night. [2396.2s] Maybe he's just sleeping it off. [2397.6s] You saw him last night. [2398.5s] Oh, no, I was referring. [2399.9s] Well, OK, it's going to sound really weird. [2403.3s] I swear there was a jungle in there a minute ago, a jungle [2406.7s] under the mountain. [2408.3s] You've lost. Yeah, that's that's the thing. [2410.6s] I don't I don't know what to tell you, but [2412.8s] guess guess my eyes are playing tricks on me. [2414.9s] Desk life has got you soft air fire beard. [2417.7s] All right. You want me to tuck me in or are you going to do it? [2420.2s] I mean, you know the drill by now. [2421.4s] I'll open the door. You can do the rest. [2422.9s] All right. Nighty night, sweet prince. [2425.7s] Good night, Thomas. [2426.4s] We'll see you again real soon, I'm sure you walk back out [2430.2s] and you take another glance at the dragonborn who's passed out. [2436.8s] You hang there for a moment. [2439.8s] And then carry on back upstairs [2441.6s] to make sure that the paperwork is all filled out and camera pans back down. [2446.4s] And we begin to see that jungle forming before our eyes [2450.7s] and a vision. [2452.0s] And the camera begins moving quickly. [2454.3s] And the sound of footsteps are crunching through this leaves. [2458.7s] And we see the back of this dragonborn who's got his [2461.6s] he's looking quickly over his shoulder. [2463.9s] This dragonborn is running through the jungle. [2467.3s] It's hot. It's muggy. [2470.5s] And he's being chased. [2472.7s] What's his next move? [2474.6s] Oh, God. [2477.0s] He kind of stops and he's trying to catch his breath quickly before he moves. [2481.2s] He's looking around for any sign of where he is. [2484.1s] He's gotten lost like the path below him is is no longer a path. [2489.4s] It's just so overgrown. [2491.2s] And he he he pulls his bow and arrow and he notches one [2494.9s] just in case something sneaks up on him. [2496.9s] And he looks up and there's just like a crack through the canopy [2501.4s] where he sees a little bit of movement and recognizes [2505.8s] like a carving in part of the tree, which you see just a quick glimpse [2512.1s] reminds him of where he is and he books off towards the west. [2517.3s] He continues running through the jungle. [2520.4s] And as he's going, he's been hearing [2524.7s] the sound of leaves getting pushed out of the way [2528.4s] and branches breaking behind him and to the side of them and above them. [2532.6s] And and he knows he needs to keep moving. [2536.6s] And he comes to a fork in the road. [2538.2s] There's there's a path that splits off to the left [2540.5s] and a path that splits off to the right. [2543.6s] And he hears the noise behind him getting a little bit louder. [2547.9s] He doesn't hesitate. [2549.4s] He knows that this this path leads to the right, [2554.1s] leads back to his camp, he heads to the right. [2557.1s] As he makes a break to the right, he feels [2562.2s] a like an amount of wind kind of go past his [2567.8s] the right side of his face and the kind of back of his neck. [2571.8s] And just out of the corner of his eye, he sees this like [2575.6s] demonic looking monkey. [2579.9s] Flying just past him, [2584.0s] coming out of the bush to his right, fucking Wongo. [2587.4s] Fuck found me. [2589.2s] He loses an arrow towards it and Wongo lets out a cry. [2593.2s] And you're not sure if if you hit him with the arrow [2596.9s] or if he is just offended that you shot at him [2601.1s] or what the deal is, but he lets out this cry. [2604.7s] And you know that you need to get back to camp. [2609.5s] Because otherwise, Wongo will get you. [2613.7s] Fuck. Wongo's not going to get me. [2615.8s] Not today. Not Bort. Not Bort. Bort's not going to get me. [2617.9s] I got by Wongo. [2619.1s] He throws his bow back on his on his back and with [2624.1s] even more vigor, he pushes through all all of the pain [2628.4s] that's setting into his muscles and he rushes as fast as he can [2633.0s] towards his camp. [2634.8s] You come stumbling out of the jungle, out of breath, [2637.4s] you land on your hands and knees. [2640.0s] And you see, well, for a lack of a better term, [2643.4s] your tour guide in this jungle. [2646.9s] You see Scyther up ahead and he [2651.1s] kind of waves you over and says, what, what's what's what's [2654.7s] what's the problem? [2655.6s] Wongo, Wongo, Wongo, there's a Wongo coming. [2657.4s] He's going to get he's going to get us. [2659.0s] We got to get we got to go. [2660.4s] Well, OK, is it a Wongo or is it Wongo? [2664.0s] There's only one. [2664.8s] There's only one. It's the Wongo. [2667.4s] Why are we arguing about this? [2669.2s] Remember what it is about Wongo? [2671.8s] We've been over this. [2672.7s] We've been over all nine. Yeah. [2674.6s] But it's better to be Wongo's friend than his enemy. [2679.3s] What if what did you do to offend Wongo? [2683.2s] I mean, there was this there was this altar and there was [2688.0s] I mean, there was a there was this cup on on it. [2691.6s] And I was thirsty. [2693.4s] So there was a spring beside it. [2694.9s] And as you just kind of took a took a drink from it. [2699.4s] And then and then heard heard the heard the noise, [2702.3s] which gave me a start and saw him through the trees. [2705.6s] And he reaches into his bag and [2709.6s] pulls out the cup as I I accidentally took the cup. [2714.7s] OK, and then that's that's going to be a problem. [2717.2s] And then I maybe winged him with an arrow, maybe. [2721.1s] OK, yeah, not great. [2722.8s] And that'd be it, though, that'd be it. [2726.2s] So I drink the cup to put the cup in the bag. [2729.8s] And what kind of what kind of treats do you have in your bag? [2734.2s] What can what can we offer him as a peace offering? [2736.9s] I mean, this is the most valuable thing I have right now is this cup. [2740.4s] I mean, I got some just [2743.0s] basic adventuring gear to stay alive out here. [2744.9s] OK, tell you what. OK, we're going to put the cup down. [2750.0s] We're going to leave it here. [2751.6s] I'm going to put some of these berries in it [2753.8s] because I don't know if he's going to like them or not, [2756.1s] but it's a it's a bit of a peace offering from us to him. [2760.3s] And we are going to back away [2762.7s] and we're going to head back to the camp. [2765.2s] And hopefully we're going to leave it there. [2766.7s] OK, OK. Yeah, he puts the cup down. [2770.0s] Watches, watches either put the put the berries in [2772.8s] and they slowly starts backing away further up the further up the path. [2777.6s] As as the two of them back away, you see [2782.0s] Wongo burst forth from the jungle that that board had just come out of. [2788.8s] And he stops and lets out a screech. [2792.9s] He puts his his his head up to the heavens and he lets out this [2796.8s] this piercing screech. [2798.8s] And as he looks back down, he sees the cup on the ground. [2803.3s] And his his demeanor kind of changes immediately. [2807.6s] And he kind of walks forward. [2810.2s] And he brings his tail around from the side [2813.6s] and he picks up the cup with his tail. [2817.0s] And he kind of looks towards the two of them. [2820.3s] He doesn't nod. [2822.7s] But you know, there's an understanding between the two of you now. [2828.6s] Don't take his shit. [2830.8s] And he won't try to kill you. [2833.4s] So probably shouldn't take his shit anymore. [2837.5s] I mean, yeah, if you if you find some. [2839.2s] OK, here's the thing about Chult. [2841.2s] And I know we've been over this, but if you find random bits of treasure, [2846.6s] best to not touch it. Right. Right. Yeah. OK. [2849.8s] Just, you know, we're just going to leave that one. [2852.2s] And OK, we're going to head back to camp. [2855.0s] We're going to take it easy from here on in. [2856.8s] No more pissing off any of the nine. [2858.8s] No more pissing off any of the nine. [2860.3s] Hey, what if I pissed off one more of the nine? [2865.0s] I'm going to I'm going to need some more information, [2867.4s] and I hope it's not one of the bad ones. [2872.5s] So Thea is going to Thea does not notice his wispiness. [2876.6s] Not really. It's kind of coming from behind you. [2878.5s] Right. So I mean, role role or role perception 20. [2883.8s] You would notice that there is an aura every time you're casting something [2888.4s] and every time you like when you saw a Yenbul cast, [2892.1s] you didn't see Tulgear cast. [2894.7s] But there is an aura. [2896.4s] You can't explain necessarily where it's coming from. [2899.4s] I assume that I would feel that that there is a shift. [2903.7s] There is something happening when we're casting. [2906.0s] But again, I feel the exact same way [2908.9s] when you are face to face with a gross zombie made of zombie monster. [2914.3s] Yeah. You got to do what you got to do. [2915.8s] Sure. So I'm going to Eldritch Blast. [2922.1s] A 19. Yeah. A 12. [2925.0s] No. Oh, sorry. [2926.7s] Well, you're fighting the zombie thing, right? [2928.1s] Yeah. 12 hits. Yeah. [2929.0s] So I was going to 13. [2930.3s] Yeah. Damn. I was going off the dragon stuff. [2933.2s] Fuck yeah, boy. [2934.4s] OK, that's 3d10. [2937.2s] That's 18 force damage. [2940.4s] Force 18 force damage. [2942.9s] Thea like puts her hand out all cool, like and then like, [2946.8s] you know, from nowhere, a liquid fire blade forms in her hand. [2952.0s] And it is long and scary looking. [2954.8s] You hear from down the hall flame, it can yell, [2956.7s] you could do that the whole time. Probably. [2961.1s] And it's blue. [2962.4s] And and and it really brightens up the place. [2967.0s] Lots of light comes off of this thing. Yeah. [2969.4s] And Thea swings at this zombie gross thing. [2975.6s] Swing. Actually, I think 12. [2980.4s] No, plus 10, 14, 14 hits, 11 fire damage. [2984.2s] So Yenbul and the plot, [2989.8s] the plot, I think the plot would retaliate against my, [2994.8s] you know, blasting and lighting it on fire. [2997.5s] Great. We're going to see if it recharges your Romeo D6. [3001.3s] Yeah, I'd love to. [3003.4s] So one doesn't recharge, [3006.0s] but it does get to slam it to actually your. [3010.1s] Yeah, it's going to try to move past [3014.5s] Yenbul. It doesn't move past like there are parts of it [3017.7s] and it's moving around Yenbul. [3019.8s] So not very far because it's rough terrain. [3022.8s] So slippery. How far were you back? [3025.5s] I was very close to it. [3027.6s] OK, then I moved maybe 30 feet. [3030.4s] Yeah, you're because my movement also make a constitution saving throw [3034.6s] then as it comes in to slam attack you and Yenbul. [3039.2s] I'd prefer that to fail. [3042.0s] Yeah, 16. [3043.6s] Yenbul, you save Thea. [3045.1s] You're going to take nine poison damage and then slam attacks. [3048.3s] First one on Thea is going to be at 27. [3051.9s] Second one on Yenbul is going to be at 11. [3055.3s] 18 bludgeoning damage for Thea and then Yenbul, you are up. [3060.2s] So the dragon is like at street level, right? [3062.4s] So we are obviously like we are no longer in the sewer. [3065.8s] Yeah, or we are in the sewer, but things are. [3068.0s] Yeah, things are cascading in. [3070.2s] So you can you could climb up and out. [3072.5s] You're engaged with this zombie thing happening around you. [3075.8s] But yes, but I can see the sky. [3078.0s] Yes, in all of its terrifying glory. [3080.7s] There's no moon. [3083.0s] Yeah, it's very dark. [3084.5s] It's very dark. [3085.0s] I guess, yeah, the zombie is like on me, [3087.4s] so it doesn't really make sense for me to attack the dragon. [3091.2s] So I'd like the zombie [3094.9s] zomboid. What did you call it? [3097.2s] Clot. Zombie clot. [3098.7s] I'd like them to make a dex save. [3100.8s] 12. Great. [3102.6s] I'm going to call lightning. [3105.7s] So a big cloud appears in the sky and lightning is going to zap them up [3110.7s] real good, and it's going to keep zapping them on subsequent turns [3115.6s] unless I lose my concentration. [3117.4s] But for now, they'll take 33 [3122.7s] lightning damage. Yeah, well, [3124.9s] parts of this thing are falling off and like the flesh is [3128.4s] you can you can smell the smell so bad. [3131.6s] It was so bad to begin with, but now it's like burning so bad. [3136.2s] Bad hair burning smell flesh. [3139.9s] It's it's so bad, but it takes a huge amount of damage [3143.4s] and like parts of it are are falling to the ground [3146.6s] and trying to reach up and claw themselves back towards this main mass. [3152.0s] What if we get some dragon nonsense out of the way? [3156.3s] Yeah, you can rest a smile. [3159.4s] I know I don't like that. [3160.6s] That's my mark. [3161.7s] It's always going to be bad. [3163.0s] At least this way, we can just all all react back. [3167.4s] So you attack the tail, so it pulls its tail out. [3171.5s] Tall gear and turns and you see the ma of this dragon open [3178.4s] and this black cloud vapor [3183.2s] begin to pour out and fills in a 60 foot cone [3187.6s] the entire causeway of all of you. [3192.0s] So please make a constitution saving throw [3195.8s] and beat an 18 15 25 nine. [3200.6s] Google is my friend for 16 D6. [3205.1s] Oh, my God. Jesus Christ. [3209.2s] Oh, that's not that bad. [3210.4s] So Yenbul and Thea are going to take 53 necrotic damage. [3219.0s] From its rotting breath. [3220.4s] Tall gear, you're going to take half of that. [3222.6s] So it's that 26. Sounds delightful. [3226.4s] I guess when I take damage, that stops my concentration, doesn't it? [3230.0s] You can roll to save against it. [3232.4s] You have to beat half the amount of damage, I think. [3235.0s] You'd have to beat a 26 on your con save using your wisdom. [3238.4s] Can you do that using my con save bonus? [3242.4s] You would have to do that as well for your fairy fire. [3245.6s] Impossible. [3246.6s] And in all honesty, I think that fairy fire is gone. [3250.6s] I've cast a different spell. [3252.7s] Oh, OK. So yeah, then it dissipates. [3255.9s] And yeah, any any lingering spells are gone. [3262.4s] It roars and shakes the walls. [3266.1s] As the roar dies down, you hear. [3270.3s] Quick footsteps up on the street, small, quick footsteps. [3277.3s] And you hear a blade cut hard into the dragon [3283.2s] and the head droops for a second [3286.5s] and then falls down into the cavern. [3290.0s] And dropping down, carrying a double bladed, glowing sword [3298.4s] with like flame coming from her nostrils, is this. [3305.8s] Copper and bronze and gold and platinum dragonborn. [3313.7s] And gold and platinum dragonborn. [3318.9s] Who's quickly followed down by a halfling and half-orc. [3324.3s] Oh, fuck.
